Vessel Registration and Assessment
Select My processes in the navigation bar on the of portal. Select the button New Registration to start a new registration for your vessel. If you close the page, you can find the vessel registration process on the My processes page in the My Processes overview.

With the vessel registration process TenneT enables its contractors and service providers to announce their vessel(s) and indicate compliance with applicable TenneT requirements. As part of this process, you provide information about the vessel, vessel certificates, relevant vessel procedures and reports, as well as details of the project and work scope the vessel is announced for. At the same time as the registration process, TenneT uses the information to start a vessel assessment.
As part of the vessel registration, TenneT has to perform a vessel assessment which is done via the vessel assessment process. In this process the third party inspection report and additional assurances (TenneT specific) questions (answered by you) are verified.
The assessment is mainly based on reviewing of the required 3rd party inspection reports such as an IMCA CMID/MISW and additional questions through which a contractor can provide more detailed information on TenneT specific topics that typically are not covered by a 3rd party inspection report.

In the list of vessels you can search on vessel name, flag and IMO number. TenneT requires those for identification in order to eliminate double vessel registrations caused by typo’s or incorrect naming. If your vessel is not in the list or the flag have changed, you can create a new vessel. Select the “New” button on the bottom of the Vessel ”Lookup records”. You will see a form where you have to fill in all vessel details. Once submitted, you can select the vessel from the list.

When you are on the page of certificates to upload, you can see two overviews: Not Approved and Approved.
If a vessel is already registered in the database of TenneT, some certificates may already be in possession of TenneT which have been verified and are still valid. Those certificates don’t need to be uploaded again, but if you want, or have to update it, you can upload the new document. The certificate will then be visible in the section Not Approved, since TenneT has to review the new uploaded certificate.

After you have uploaded all certificates using the ”Submit” button, you will no longer be able to update anything while TenneT is reviewing the data you have provided. As soon as TenneT is done with their checks and updates are requested from you, you will be able to upload additional certificates. You will receive an email if this is the case.
The certificates are managed in the Vessel registration process and parallel to this, TenneT can start the Vessel assessment in which the vessel is assessed by TenneT. Therefore, you can see two processes in the “My Processes” overview for one vessel, one of type “Vessel Registration” and one of type “Vessel Assessment”.
Permit to transport, Update Vessel / Certificate
As soon as a vessel is identified as compliant with TenneT requirements, you will receive a Permit to Transport (PTT), for which Marine operation permits can be requested. This PTT can be found under “My Permits”. Note that a PTT is only applicable for the scope of work, the duration of the work and the project indicated during the registration of the vessel. If any of these conditions change, or if the vessel changes flag, class, ownership etc., a new registration is to be done.
If you go to the page “My permits”, you can scroll to the bottom to see “My vessels”. Select the update icon to update a vessel. You are automatically redirected to the update process. The update process will appear on the “My Processes” page.
